Ismar Badžić

I’m a documentary filmmaker primarily making films and series for television in the UK. With strong camera skills and an emphasis on good communication with contributors, I’m able to capture personal, meaningful moments with sensitivity and visual richness.

I studied Philosophy at University of Sheffield, juggling my degree with making films. After a few years making short films and corporate videos I shifted my focus fully to documentary filmmaking. I went on to complete a documentary Masters course at Goldsmiths University and my first job in broadcast documentary followed. I’ve been working in docs ever since.

Making documentaries we ask people to be honest with us. But it shouldn’t be a one way street. So I’ve shared a little more about myself here.
